Survive is a new sexual assault and abuse service for Staffordshire that has been commissioned by Staffordshire County Council along with the Police and Crime Commissioners Office. Survive provides a free, non-judgmental and confidential service for adults, children over the age of 4, and close family members/significant others who have been affected by sexual assault or abuse at any point during their lives.
To launch Survive they are running a campaign raising awareness of the impact of sexual assault and abuse, and the support available to victims, between 7th December and 4th January. In addition, a further mini campaign focusing on children and young people will run in January and February. More details to follow.
The Board are currently working with Staffordshire Women’s Aid to develop a range of Sexual Abuse training focusing on Inter familial Sexual Abuse in Children and Young People, more information to follow in the new year.
