The Board met this month on Tuesday 23, February to discuss a wide range of subjects. Chief Executive Glynn Dixon from Staffordshire Commissioners Office visited the Board meeting to deliver an update on the new MASH review, its implementation plan, and updates on the four work areas. Glynn has now provided updates to Staffordshore and Stoke-on-Trent Safeguarding Children Boards and will now move on to develop the delivery, timelines and resourcing along with identify delivery leads with capacity in order to move to a single strategy discussion,
The Board received an update on the transformation project that Staffordshire County Council by Chair Helen Riley Deputy Chief Executive and Director for Families and Communities.
The Board have now advertised the role of Independent Chair and Scrutineer and will look to appoint in April 2021.
Training for the Graded Care Profile 2 champions will be commencing during March with a free training program role out for all practitioners following on. The Graded Care Profile 2 is an evidence-based assessment tool for measuring the quality of care provided by a parent or carers in meeting their child’s needs. The tool uses a graded scale from 1 to 5 by capturing levels of physical and emotional care through the eyes of the child. This toolkit will be available to all trained practitioners and will be the focus of the Neglect conference coming soon.
