Date: Tuesday, 04th Aug 2020 | Category: Newsletter August 2020

Stoke-on-Trent

As part of the improvement work in children and family services at Stoke-on-Trent City Council, new working arrangements for the front door service are being developed. In line with a new restorative approach the changes will help build on the strengths of families and communities across Stoke-on-Trent. This work will support resilience and independence and ensure children and families receive the right help at the right time.

The new arrangements will see a move away from the current paper based referral process and a focus on early conversations with professionals and families leading to earlier support. Recruitment for roles within the new service is under way – click here for more. You can see more details about the changes to the service in the report agreed by Stoke-on-Trent City Council’s Cabinet here. A multi-agency working group and a reference group with volunteers from schools, health and the Police have been set up to ensure that partners are as involved as possible. The new arrangements are set to launch in September and more details will be available as work progresses.
