Level 4 Training

SSCB have received feedback regarding the confusion around the title of SSCB Level 3 and Level 4 courses. Your feedback is essential in ensuring our continual development is fit for purpose, therefore as part of a pilot we are removing Level 4 to support understanding of our Levels of training.

Level 1 Safeguarding Children and Protecting them from abuse – Suitable for those in regular or infrequent contact with children, young people and/or their parents or carers. Level 1 training needs to be undertaken within three months of starting work and repeated every three years.

Level 2 Multi-agency Working Together to Safeguard Children Training – Members of the workforce who work predominantly with children, young people and/or their parents or carers and who could potentially contribute to assessing, planning, intervening and evaluating the needs of a child and parenting capacity where there are safeguarding concerns. Must be undertaken within 12 months of starting work and updated every two years with Multi-agency Level 3 training as relating to your specific role.

Level 3 Specific courses dependant on job role. Suitable for members of the workforce who work predominantly with children, young people and/or their parents or carers. Level three Multi-Agency subject specific courses will enable members to update level 2 certificates every two years.
