The Digital Recording of Child Protection Conferences pilot project will take place in the Newcastle area children’s services office starting on February 1, 2021 and running for four months to include initial and review conferences only.
The pilot will deliver restorative conferences and documents to underpin the practice model looking at the documents that come out of conference – language, format, what they achieve. It will also use the learning from other outstanding local authorities.
The pilot will expand on the growing learning from technological advances we have used during Covid, and is part of the transformation programme, where it has been established there will be significantly more children subject to a child protection plan and less within the care system.
