Online film to help sports clubs protect children from abuse
The NSPCC have launched an online film - 'Play Sport Stay Safe'. The film is free to view on the NSPCC's Child Protection in Sport Unit website.
The film has been created for sports club staff, volunteers and parents and shows examples of how to recognise, respond to and report any concerns over the safety and well being of children involved in sport.
NSPCC EduCare Child Protection Awareness Programme
Written by the NSPCC, this EduCare programme is for anyone who comes into contact with children and their parents or carers through their involvement in sport and active leisure. It provides information on signs and indicators of abuse and what you should do if you suspect a child is being maltreated.
The programme is designed to give guidance on best practice in child protection. Each of the four learning modules has a questionnaire to test understanding and help you put your training into practice.
