Staffordshire's Safeguarding Children Board in partnership with Staffordshire Childrens Trust are offering an opportunity for a group of young people to put together a bid, to develop and promote an 'e-safety pledge' along with a set of 'e-safety' quality standards.
e-safety Group's Aim
In partnership with Staffordshire's Safeguarding Children Board, there is an opportunity for a group of young people to put together a bid, to develop and promote an 'esafety pledge' along with a set of 'esafety' quality standards.
Q. What's the criteria?
A. Please read the criteria below carefully before filling in the application form.
Q. Who is it targetted at?
A. The project is for young people aged 11 - 19 years (or up to 25 years where young people have special needs).
Q. Who can apply?
A. The application must be completed by the group of young people.
Q. How many must be in the group?
A The group must be made up of 4 or more young people.
Q. How long have we got to do it?
A. The group must be willing to work on the project for 12 months.
Q. How do we apply?
A. To make your application as a group you must create a digital video, it can be filmed on a video camera, mobile phone, or anything you have that can record video. The quality of the recording isn't important, it must answer the following:
Why does your group want to take part?
What difference do you think you could make for young people in Staffordshire?
What experience do you think you could bring to this project?
How would you go about advertising/promoting e-safety to other young people, carers, parents and adults?
The video can be submitted via USB stick, SD Card, CD/DVD, Cassette, Mini DV, Email, via the internet (see website above for details on how to do this).
Q. Do we have to work with anyone else?
A. The group will be willing to work alongside Staffordshire's Safeguarding Children Board and other appropriate professionals.

A. Deadline for Applications are the 28th of February 2010.
