Training Costs

Our training is funded by members of the SSCB.

From April 2011 the charge for participants attending SSCB training are as follows:-

Partner agencies contributing funding to the SSCB training budget - free

Statutory agencies not contributing funding to SSCB - £75 per person per course (£40 for half day events) unless informed otherwise

Large national charities with training budgets - £75 per person per course (£40 for half day events) unless informed otherwise (Please supply charity number)

Local charities based within Staffordshire County Council boundaries - free (Please supply charity number)

(Please note that charities have to be registered with charities commission)

Voluntary organisations within Staffordshire County Council boundaries - free  

Independent organisations including independent schools and academies - £100 per day (£50 for half day events) unless informed otherwise

Local authority schools - £75 per person per course (£40 for half day events) unless informed otherwise

All others - £100 per person per course * (£50  for half day events)

 

Failure to notify us of a cancellation:

• Less than 2 weeks will incur a cancellation fee of £75 or £100 (if an independent organisation)
• Less than 4 weeks will incur a cancellation fee of £37.50 or £50 (if an independent organisation)

No charge will be made if a replacement member of staff is substituted, however this staff member must meet any pre-requisite requirements and be approved by the SSCB Training Manager

The charge will be sent to your manager.

*Where there is a training cost for the course itself, cancellations within four weeks of the course are not refundable and your organisation will still be invoiced.

In exceptional circumstances a training event may need to be cancelled by us.  In such an event, we shall let you know about the cancellation as soon as we can, and return your payment, if applicable.
