The mission statement of SCVYS is to ensure the development and recognition of a vibrant, sound and diverse voluntary youth sector.

SCVYS promotes best practice, including around safeguarding, through information, training, grants and bespoke support enabling our member organisations to be efficient and effective in their offer to children and young people in Staffordshire. This is done without distinction of sex, sexuality, disability, race, or political or religious opinion, developing their physical, mental and spiritual capacities so they grow to full maturity both as individuals and members of society.   Outcomes include the provision of a diverse range of accessible positive activities for children and young people resulting in improved quality of life, youth participation in local community development, higher levels of youth and adult volunteering as well as ensuring that young people's voices, concerns and issues are represented wherever it is most appropriate.
