Therapeutic Services for Sexually Abused Children and Young People
Therapeutic treatment for sexually abused children offering a manualised treatment programme for children aged 4-17 who have been sexually abused and their safe carers.
Graded Care Profile
A national evaluation of a tool for addressing the care of children and identifying potential and actual child neglect.
Parents Under Pressure
An intensive programme (combining psychological principles within a case management model) targeted at methadone maintained and alcohol dependent primary carers, with at least one child under 2 years of age.
Family Environment: Drug Using Parents (FEDUP)
FEDUP is a 12-week programme working with children who live with parental drug or alcohol misuse, to help build their self-esteem, develop protective factors and provide a safe space for them to bring problems by delivering and evaluating face-to-face intervention to support them in the family
Treatment Programme for Children and Young People with Harmful Sexual Behaviour
The Harmful Sexualised Behaviour Commission (HSB) will seek to establish the extent of which a guided structured manualised approach to post assessment intervention with children and young people with HSB lead to better outcomes.
Safeguarding Looked After Children Through Advocacy
A two part commission which aims to reduce the risks via advocacy to children and young people considered as 'Looked After' as defined within the Children Act 1989.
Connecting With Children in Care (Face 2 Face)
Connecting with Children in Care (CWIC) is a face to face solution focused support for Looked After Children where increasing their safety and well-being is required. Children and young people will receive six one to one sessions of direct work, lasting on average one hour.
Evidence Based Decisions for Children in Complex Neglect Cases - Using the North Carolina Family Assessment Scale (NCFAS)
In England the Munro Review is investigating assessment in child protection cases and has called for creative ideas to achieve more efficient as well as safer processes (Munro, 2011).
The NSPCC will provide time limited Overview Assessments of complex cases of child neglect, working with children's key workers in partner local authorities.
