'Safeguarding children is everyone's business'
What is Staffordshire Safeguarding Children Board?
Staffordshire Safeguarding Children Board (SSCB) is the key statutory mechanism for agreeing how local organisations will co-operate to safeguard and promote the welfare of children and young people living in Staffordshire.
It is an inter-agency forum which brings together representatives of each of the main agencies and professionals who are responsible for helping to protect children from abuse and neglect. The SSCB is responsible for agreeing on how the different services and professional groups should co-operate to safeguard children, and for making sure that arrangements work effectively in bringing about better outcomes for children and young people in Staffordshire.
Stoke-on-Trent is a unitary authority and has its own LSCB. Use this link for further information: http://www.safeguardingchildren.stoke.gov.uk/ccm/portal/
