Staffordshire and Stoke-on-Trent Safeguarding Children Boards Annual Conference

Tuesday 10 November 2015 @ Yarnfield Training and Conference Centre, 09:30 – 16:00

This training is for all Practitioners that come into regular contact with children.

The day will feature a drama production and a survivor’s story, along with presentations based on the Boards priorities – Neglect and the Toxic Trio, Child Sexual Abuse, Youth Violence and Child Trafficking.

Ruth Pearson - nearly 25 years’ experience in the field of child protection and has  spoken at conferences around the country.

Deanna Neilson - Head of Safeguarding for Action for Children specialist in Child Sexual Abuse

AVA – Against Violence and Abuse – Presentation on gang affected Young Women

Loudmouth “Safe and Sound” a theatre production based around healthy relationships

 Emma Jackson a survivor of Child Sexual Abuse ‘They like us naïve’: How teenage girls are groomed for a life of prostitution by UK gangs
